Bruce Messer Jr., a U.S. Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient, received a new roof from NRCA member Deer Park Roofing Inc., Cincinnati, an Owens Corning Platinum Roofing Contractor, as part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, according to highlandcountypress.com.

Through a partnership with Purple Heart Homes, Messer was selected and approved as the recipient for the roof replacement.

The Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project is a nationwide effort to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served the U.S. and the families who support them. Since the inception of the program in 2016, more than 225 military members have received new roofs.

“Deer Park Roofing is proud to partner with Owens Corning on the Roof Deployment Project,” said Nick Sabino, founder and president of Deer Park Roofing. “Our mission is to protect what’s important, and we cannot think of a better way to do that than to provide compl imentary roofing services to a veteran in need.”
